That is just what the Arch Wizard Ridorthu believed before he woke the ancient power that devoured him and ripped Caspia asunder. Though that power was defeated, the conflict drew the interest of others who would destroy our world and those in it. For now we hold an uneasy peace, defending ourselves against minor evils while even greater powers still sleep. Curiosity is a powerful drive that can bring great wealth and power. But be careful that you don't awaken the ancient evil in your searching; He sleeps but lightly and his temper is vile.
