Tamedhon
Tamedhon is a native German LDmud. It was founded in 2000 and has been prospering since. The world is an original fantasy setting with a rich history, which describes how the world is as it is nowadays. With 9 domains which have different basic ideas from the Nordmeer domain with its many prospering big cities which became rich with trading to the dark mountains of the Schwarzgebirge the lands are filled with adventure. Seven races, well known, but different, eight guilds (classes), which can nearly freely combined, give the players unlimited possibilites to play. Players can solve ~40 quests and unlimited smaller riddles and can play multiple smaller or bigger games for enjoyment. The whole MUD is playable alone or in a group. Multiboxing (one person leads multiple charakters at once) is limited to two charakters at any time but can have mulitple marked charakters, so a player can test new combinations without loosing its own progress. Advancing through the levels can be done by exploration, which increases also the stats of the charakter, killing evil monsters, solving riddles and solving adventures, as different as the land itself. The whole game is optimized to make it easy for visually impaired players to play by allowing to disable the ASCII graphics if needed. Automatic plays (scripts, triggers) are restricted. Security and easy usage are the main drivers of the development. The connection to the server is TLS encrypted if needed and if using the web client no personal data is collected inside the MUD. Advanced players get additional options to individualize their appearance. They also can become wizards who develop the lands further and add additional quests and regions. The full MUD is described in german language and fully supports the german umlauts via UTF-8. So a player don't need to use the outdated ASCII 7bit commands to roam and explore the fine detailed lands.

- Tamedhon ist ein deutschsprachiges LDmud. Es wurde im Jahr 2000 gegruendet und erfreut sich seither grosser Beliebtheit. Die Spielwelt basiert auf einem originellen Fantasy-Szenario mit einer reichhaltigen Geschichte, die erklaert, wie die Welt zu ihrer heutigen Gestalt gelangte. Mit zehn Regionen, die jeweils unterschiedliche Grundkonzepte verfolgen - von der ,,Nordmeer"-Region mit ihren florierenden, durch Handel reich gewordenen Metropolen bis hin zu den duesteren Gipfeln des "Gebirges" ist das Land voller Abenteuer. Zwoelf bekannte, aber eigenstaendige Voelker sowie sieben Gilden (Klassen), die sich nahezu frei kombinieren lassen, bieten den Spielern nahezu unbegrenzte spielerische Moeglichkeiten. Spieler koennen mehr als 50 Quests sowie unzaehlige kleinere Raetsel loesen und verschiedene kleinere oder groessere Spiele zur Unterhaltung als Spiel im Spiel spielen. Das gesamte MUD laesst sich sowohl allein als auch in der Gruppe spielen. Multiboxing (eine Person steuert mehrere Charaktere gleichzeitig) ist auf zwei gleichzeitig eingeloggte Charaktere beschraenkt; es koennen jedoch mehrere Charaktere markiert werden, so dass Spieler neue Kombinationen testen koennen, ohne ihren bisherigen Fortschritt zu verlieren. Der Stufenaufstieg erfolgt durch Erkundung, was auch die Charakterwerte verbessert, durch das Besiegen boeser Monster, das Loesen von Raetseln sowie das Bestehen von Abenteuern, die so vielfaeltig sind wie das Land selbst. Das gesamte Spiel ist so optimiert, dass auch sehbehinderte Spieler problemlos teilnehmen koennen. Bei Bedarf laesst sich die ASCII-Grafik deaktivieren. Automatisierte Spielablaeufe (Skripte, Trigger) sind begrenzt als Ingamefunktionen vorhanden. Weitergehende Nutzung eines Clients um voll automatisch zu spielen (Vollskript) sind jedoch nicht erlaubt. Sicherheit und Benutzerfreundlichkeit stehen bei der Weiterentwicklung im Vordergrund. Die Serververbindung ist bei Bedarf TLS-verschluesselt, und bei Nutzung des Web-Clients werden innerhalb des MUDs keinerlei personenbezogene Daten erhoben. Fortgeschrittene Spieler erhalten zusaetzliche Moeglichkeiten, ihr Erscheinungsbild individuell zu gestalten. Zudem koennen sie zu ,,Wizards" (Magiern) werden, die das Land weiterentwickeln sowie neue Quests und Regionen hinzufuegen. Das gesamte MUD ist auf Deutsch gehalten und unterstuetzt deutsche Umlaute vollstaendig via UTF-8. Spieler sind somit nicht auf veraltete 7-Bit-ASCII-Befehle angewiesen, um die fein detaillierten Landschaften zu erkunden. Dies betrifft nicht nur den Parser sondern auch das komplette Spielgebiet. Das gesamte Spiel ist PVE, Angriffe auf andere Spieler sind nicht nur nicht erwuenscht, sondern auch unmoeglich gemacht.
