Wilds of Pern

# To the Anne McCaffrey Fans and All the Pern Game Players Ever wondered what it was like to be a dragonrider on Pern? How about a Crafter? Ever wanted to play one in a MUSH-style game? Or are you a long-time Pern player looking for something fresh? If the answer is yes, then come on down to **Wilds of Pern** and check us out! We’re a fledgling MUSH-style game, launched July 29, 2022, and now we are **out of Beta**, FINALLY. Over the last **three Turns** we’ve made major overhauls and changes, and while we’re still building and fine-tuning, we’ve now completed **six successful PC Hatchings** and established a strong foundation for play! We’re bringing exciting new ideas to the world of text-based Pern games! Our game runs on an **XP system** that powers character development, Impressions, promotions, wher bonding, opening businesses, and much more. XP is awarded in many different ways, from a weekly drip to Scene Bingo rewards, and through plots, events, and storylines that give you the chance to earn even more. Our Searches are run on XP rather than strict activity checks, and we open them whenever there’s interest in the current clutch on the Sands. Wilds of Pern also comes with some quality-of-life features: - **Automatic Logging & Sharing** – no more cleaning or manually posting logs unless you want to. - **Scene Types for Every Style** – choose between *Live*, *Distracted*, or *Asynchronous* scenes depending on your pace and schedule. - **Multi-Platform Access** – play directly from the web portal, through the web client (via “Play the Game” in the NavBar), or from your favorite telnet program (Mushclient, Potato, Atlantis, Mukluk, BlowTorch, etc.). Wilds of Pern is multi-platform friendly, plot-friendly, and player-friendly. We’d love for you to come have a look, try out our systems, and join in the stories already unfolding. We hope to see you around!
